Jovan was born in South Africa on 22 July 1997. Jovan added to the list of significant collegiate accomplishments in June 2018 by winning the 123rd Amateur Championship at Royal Aberdeen G.C. in Aberdeen, Scotland. In 2019, Jovan won the Georgia Cup. Jovan also competed in the Masters, US Open, Open Championship, Memorial Tournament, and Dubai Desert Classic (amateur contestant) in that same year. Jovan currently competes on the Sunshine Tour.
